The Guernsey Cattle Society of Australia Inc is an incorporated organisation committed to the betterment of the Guernsey breed in Australia, and to serving its members who breed, register, herd record and classify Guernsey cattle.It is affiliated with the World Guernsey Cattle Federation, and in March 2007 hosted the 12th World Guernsey Conference and pre-Conference tour.
The Society offers a range of services including Registration of Bulls, Registration of Females - full registration or Appendix Scheme available.It has links to the HFAA which provides Classification services. It seeks to provide up-to-date information on AI Guernsey Sires available through its links with a number of semen suppliers and importers.
The Society has Branches in each State (Western Australia is combined with South Australia), and also offers a number of Sub-Branches and Clubs which operate on a local level. Its Youth Development Committee is looking at ways to assist young people who would like to work with Guernseys. A Guernsey Youth Team has participated in the Youth Challenge at International Dairy Week for several years.
Guernseys are shown at most Royal Shows and a number of provincial centres.
